Abstract

1984-05-02 to 1984-05-20
During May 1984 a long-range seismic experiment was carried out in Jordan by the University of Jordan, Amman and the Institutes for Geophysics of the Universities of Hamburg and Karlsruhe. Briefly, the explosion experiment consisted of 28 shots recorded by about 20 MARS type mobile seismic stations. The 20 large shots at shot-points 1-5 were recorded out to 200 km distance range on lines I-IV with a station spacing of about 5 km while the eight small shots at shot-points 6-10 were recorded out to about 30 km distance range on line II with a station spacing of 1-2 km.
